Have an old wood stove manufactured by Birmigham Stove Co. We got it in late 20's , so really do not know how old it is. We are interested in selling and trying to find info on it. Here is a picture. Thanks

Not sure why, but no link and no picture... However it is worth noting that old stoves have very limited value - current laws in most places prohibit the installation of stoves that are not UL listed for safety and EPA approved for emissions. Thus old stoves are limited to unpermitted installs (sometimes in sheds and other outbuildings) or use as decorative 'furniture'

Goose there are exemptions to antique stoves code wise they still are required to be permitted and and require generic NFPA 211 clearance distances.

All cook stoves are exempt as well

As for what it may be worth post a picture so all can look. Most here have modern clean burning EPA stoves ,so only a few may be able to guess its worth

It MIGHT be worth checking with some antique dealers to see if they have any references that might be useful, otherwise I'd probably put it up on E-pay, and see what you can get...

It seems that anything which is in good shape will get at least $500 or so. On the high side, there are still a couple of outfits that make new wood cookstoves, and I believe they are getting in the 2-3K range for them.
