Can I install a Fireview wood stove into the 8" damper opening of a Heatilator E42? Is the existing 25 foot chimney ok as is with a short reducer 6 to 8 from the stove to the damper?

Not without upgrading to a stainless steel insulated liner,
& a solid connection to your stove's flue collar.
The chimney venting your ZC is not rated for the higher
woodstove temperatures...

It's not going to fit a 6" insulated liner; the OD is 8". Even snaking down a 6.75 preinsulated DuraLiner could be an issue if too long screws were used on the SL300 pipe and their tips protrude into the flue or if there is an offset. 5" preinsulated may work if the chimney is tall enough, but I would get Woodstock's blessings on that first before proceeding.

Will a 6 inch 2100 degree insulated liner fit into the 8" prefab chimney? Does the liner need to be insulated?
My brother installed a Buck 18 in a Heatilator E39 with a solid SS chimney liner wrapped in in 1/2 insulation, it was a straight shot into the top of the insert.

The prefab chimney is located centrally and not outside till it exits the roof. It is a 30 foot straight run . Would an uninsulated 6" liner be ok?

You would be better off going with a smaller insulated. 30 foot is a good stack height that might warrant a 5" chimney.

But as stated, check with manufacturer first.

Spoke to Woodstock. They said single wall 6" liner is ok. I also found some 2 ply smooth wall stainless with an O.D. of 6.25.Here

I'm putting in a woodstove, NOT an insert. It will be in front of the fireplace.
