Woodstove Install into ZC fireplace

I have an Ideal Steel hybrid that I'm looking to install into an old Preway ZC fireplace (not actually inside, just want to use the existing chimney). I've read most of the threads and info regarding the difference between UL1777/UL103/UL103 HT. I know that I could remove the old chimney and replace with a Class-A chimney. But I then came across this:

I was wondering if anyone had used this system before or has an opinion on it.

I have not read that brochure before, that's an interesting product.

What's the condition of the current setup?

Running a 6" insulated liner up the ZC chimney should solve the problem.

I had a local company quote me $1900 just for the pipe. Are they smoking something or am I missing something?

Not sure if you are missing something or the company but from the price it sounds they want to replace the whole pipe instead of just dropping a liner down there. Did you tell them you want to have a flex liner installed in your flue?

I confirmed that it is a flex liner. Smooth wall, heavy gauge. That price didn't include labor. Im looking into other companies because that price just seems out of line.
