Oh where oh where did my Trebio go? We tried Woody's but they have an out of control flame and unable to settle the stove down in position one. They have a different texture than any other pellet we have tried. Numerous other people have been asking about and aren't happy with them either. The flame looks nothing like our picture to the left nor do we get the heat. Still looking for a half-decent replacement. So far, no luck. Does anyone know who is selling Trebio Toronto and surrounding area north? I would love to get my hands on a skid or two.
Home Depot was carrying LaCretes and Canadian Tire (locally) have been getting Okanagan. Both are softwoods that I prefer to the Trebio myself but YMMV.

Well Lake Girl, I gave LaCrete from HD a shot. I am quite impressed. They seem to be burning quite clean with wisps of blue flame. Averaging over 400 deg. out of the heat exchanger. I think they will be my new Trebio for the winter. Whenever it shows up. It's green as green. Double digit temps.

We caught a wisp of snow overnight and temps are getting closer to expected seasonal. We sat out on the deck for a beer a couple of nights ago ... first time in 25 years that it was that warm this late in the year.With my stove, I always found the Trebios get hung up in the hopper only feeding from the centre. Ash is fluffier on the LaCrete so internals don't seem to cake as much with fly ash and window stays cleaner longer. If your local CT has Okanagan you may want to give them a try too.

The Woody's at the local Wal-Mart don't seem to be selling ... which sounds like a good thing. I gave them a pass since I had my Spruce Pointes already. Sorry you wasted your money Thruster but likely would be hard to hold Woody's or Wal-Mart liable unfortunately. What was your experience?
Tried them since they where a lot cheaper (4.89$ a bag). Worst crap I ever tried. The ashes where white and compact like soft sand and filled the burning pot literally. Never will buy them again, whatever the price is....

I've gone thru a few skids of my usual pellets from Lacroix Lumber in Hearst,Ont. Been pretty happy with em. Still needed one more skid and then saw Wal Mart had the Woodys on clearance for $4 . Couldn't resist. I bought 50 bags. The reason I found this forum is because I thought there was something wrong with my stove because they are burning a big wavy flame and the fire box is getting loaded with ash and pellets.. still getting good heat but not very happy. . Still got about 40 bags to burn through
Welcome to the forum! You might try mixing the Woodys with a better grade pellet and get a slightly better burn and less ash ... Depending on your stove, you might be able to adjust draft to get a better burn too. From the sounds of it, the Woodys are not the best pellet to shoot for. Our local CT has been carrying Eagle Valley and Okanagan Platinums which are far better pellets. Have you been cleaning the internal exhaust pathways and venting?

Well, let's hope they aren't too bad in my EF3.
Walmart in the Moncton, NB (Canada) area is blowing them out at $2.00/bag, so my Father-in-Law picked me up 90 bags. I had no way to research at the time (I've never heard of them), so I said go for it. For that price, I thought they were worth a shot.
Guess I'll find out.....I've got my good pellets buried under these on my pallets. LOL

I have a Harman p43 and honesty, I wouldn't use them even if it was free. I have a bad feeling about them and finished the bag mixing it with my regular pellets. Maybe it was a bad batch.... but at some point, I was afraid that the ashes in the burning pot would literally cover the fire.
Wow. Got up this morning after less than 9 hours of leaving the stove unattended and the burn pot was overflowing, I even left the air intake wide open. There has to be something other than wood in these pellets. Absolute junk and a safety hazard. Avoid them at all costs.
They're going back to Walmart. I've no idea what their policy is on these, but you better believe they're taking them back.

This is my first time posting in the forum even though I have been following the site for 3 years. I purchased 20 bags of Woody's yesterday at Walmart. $2.00 a bag. I put 1/4 bag in the hopper as I was a bit nervous after reading the above comments. I have been burning Canawick all year and I really like them. The heat output is basically the same between the two brands. There is a bit more ash in the burnpot with the Woody's. I am going to increase the feed rate from 4 to 4 1/2 to see if this makes a difference in the ash build up. The previous comment mentioned a safety hazard so I am going to keep a close eye on the stove today.
Mine seems to burn fine for about 8-9hrs then they start to pile up.. seems like they dont get burned fast enough and the pellets keep piling up.. so if it fed slower i think it would be ok.. my stove has 3 buttons on the bottom that the manual says is preset and shouldn't be adjusted.. not sure what they do..they are: LOW FUEL FEED-LOW BURN AIR-AIR ON TEMP.. I would think the first one is the feed adjustment but mine has been on 1 since i got it.. any help would be great.. got about 40 more bags to get rid of

Just came back from Walmart and bought 20 bags of Woody's for $2 ea. They have 8 skids left and sales are slow. I offered the manager a buck a bag for the rest of them and he could store them. He just laughed.

Our heating bill for the next 3 months shouldn't be more than $100 bucks at this rate. We mix them with LaCrete for a better burn. The stove will run them on their own, but soots up badly.

Haven't had the time yet. But, I did call them and they said It wouldn't be a problem. They also said that they haven't received any complaints. I could believe that if folks were only buying a few bags to try (and I believe that's probably it)....not worth the bother in that case.
There's no way I'm burning 90 bags of this junk. I'd rather run my electric baseboards with the windows open.
New or used stove? You may want to search using the box up top right and that should show up what the factory settings are supposed to be. Last number (air on temp) is supposed to be on one, the other two vary on model of stove.
Wanted to say welcome to the forum! From what I understand, the Harmans are not finicky pellet eaters so you may be OK with the Woody's.
