Yeah i will. I have to wait for another warm spell so i can shut the stove down. It's still cruising with air closed. So the draft still seems good. Better than beforeYep.

Is this the same product that they use to insulate liners?
Regardless, I'm going to do it because I don't plan on living here for ever. 4 acres isnt enough for me lolIt might get better when the top of the chimney is higher than the roof top. Less down draft.

Yeah, this is our first home. We lived in a 1 bedroom 700sq ft apt for 3 years to sace up a big chunk and this place fell into our lap. But we eventually wanna build and i want at least 10 or more acres. No one is really close to me now, but i wanna make the house sellable in case a sweet lot comes for saleLol, I own five acres but when your surrounded by neighbors it's no different then living in the city, would love to move far away.

Hehe, mostly wooded would be preferred. That's how my current setup is. When i moved here i treated myself to a brand new husqvarna 52" tractor though10 acres? How much time do you have to mow the lawn?

The top and bottom around my liner is stuffed with it.
Are you saying you also put some at the top of the chimney.
Sure, the top of the chimney is the coolest section. You want to keep that warm to avoid creosote build up.
Is your liner insulated?
Lol, well I have a 350 foot driveway, and tomorrow morning that tractor will get good use, it has a snow plow spring time it has a tiller attachment for the garden, and i can tow my log splitter with it to anywhere on the property wheb I fell a tree, and i have a trailer to tow with it to load wood intoCrap, I have a walk behind mower. But, I am a poor immigrant.
Well, I installed it non insulated, but I stuffed from the top and the bottom with Roxul. Using a piece of lumber to stuff it up/down. It is now considered insulated for at least 80% of the length.
Mine is uninsulated from the top of the masonary down to the stove. Hence the roxulSo if you have a insulated liner you don't have to use Roxul, you guys are just using Roxul instead of liner insulation.

In theory I think so. You're liner is insulated all the way to the stove?Since I have a insulated liner the only place I need to insulate now with Roxul is around the insert. Right

Its to keep the heat inside the fireplace to keep the stove hotThe Roxul behind the block off plate should that be done to keep the heat from escaping up, like your doing with the insert, or is the Roxul behind the block off plate there because your liner was not insulated.
