Any idea how to tighten the door handle on my FPX large flush wood insert? It is loose, I tried tightening it but not sure how to do it! Thanks!

depending on which you have and what you mean, I might have a solution for you. Mine has the split doors (they suck). the door latch always has a little wobble in it, but if it isnt closing the door tight, the solution is washers.

There is a bronze looking latch on the inside which holds the door closed. Mine has a stack of washers behind it (factory) to control how tight to make it. If its lose, add a washer, problem solved. The nut on mine would always work its way lose. I had to use a little locktite, problem solved.

The new FPX insert uses a different handle assembly as well as a single door.

Thank you but I have the single door. It still latches and is tight with the dollar bill test but I can move it right to left and it feels loose and sometimes doesn't

latch correctly.

That is what I have!

glad the single door uses a different latch.... the double door is pretty poorly executed...

However, if the dollar bill test is successful, it's OK.
