Sorry....the 29 inch bar is a typo.....I have a 20.......I'm sure I will come across a 24 + in the future but, work is slow and Christmas is comming...
 
I've seen saw dust harden like concrete in the fins on the jug. I now make sure each saw is blown out with compressed air at the end of the day. Depends on the use but at least once a month the saws are disassembled and cleaned thoroughly.
I run a 20" bar on my 2012 MS 260 Pro Modified. It out performs my buddies 290 with a 16" bar.
