Adding a wood stove to block garage

While that does look like a thimble, it looks like you have combustible things a bit too close. I see wood maybe 4” away? Plus foam.

Is there a chimney on the other side?

Obviously that plastic has to go. Take a wider pic that shows more if you can.

It is a detached block garage. Those are stairs to the attic. And the plastic would be removed. No chimney on the outside it would just be insulated pipe. The wood stairs are about 4 inches from the hole.
