Hello all, I am looking to get input/ experiences on replacement of chase cover and increasing flue length for a 30 yo superior fireplace with ftf 8 inch double wall flue The current termination is only 3 inches above the chase cover, so I think it needs to be raised to fit the storm collar.

Has anyone used a used a 12 inch long superior flue adapter ftf8 to 8 dm to do this ?

Any recommendations online vendors for chase cover ?

Can’t help you the the chimney pipe, but I don’t think you want to purchase a chase top online. They tend to be quite large & very susceptible to shipping damage, as they are bent from thin aluminum sheets. You’d be better off having a hearth specialist come to your home & fabricate the chase top on site. Most chase construction is only as good as the framer & his materials can make it. The top surface is probably not a perfect square or rectangle & the chimney collar may not be centered perfectly. Accurate measurement on site is required to ensure the chase top fits & seals against the elements.
Your location of “northeast” leaves a lot to the imagination, so pointing you towards a certified hearth specialist in your area is difficult. Can you narrow your location to a city or a portion of a particular state?
