Dvl to duraplus through cc adapter and wall thimble. Question is when the stove and pipe get pretty hot, the dvl pipe seems to pull away from the wall thimble. I can notice 1/8" gap from the wall Thimble to the horizontal dvl pipe. Any ideas?

Simpson just came out with a new close clearance connector, it makes a much better connection
olc cc adapters could easily have 1/8" "play"

I just receive d one in the mail. Been waiting to install it. What is the best way to remove old adapter without damaging pipe or wall thimble?

Note that this is now M&G DuraVent. The new company has been making some nice improvements to the line of products like this. Still, it's going to take awhile to break the habit of calling it Simpson.
