Do you disconnect the stove pipe to clean? Why the 2 thermometers on the flue?
 
I do a top down. I remove the top 3 “ section. Years ago I had to get to the top to remove the plugged screen. So, since I came up with a solid method to get there, I continued with this. I know you will all say it looks sketchy. But it’s not. Just don’t do what I do unless you know what your doing.

The thermometers are in there summer storage location. It makes room for all of my wife’s stove top decorations. One will go to the top back corner.
