August weather

Quite possible the nicest, coolest August I have experienced, ever. Low 80s for the high and this weekend will be in the mid-to-upper 70s.

I sure hope this weather pattern turns on the walleye. They have been pretty elusive so far this year.

LOL, that's what we've seen all summer. I think the warmest night here was like 67F and that was just one night. It was 59F last night.

Sounds good ,cool nights = no running aircon during the day. Age has changed me,used to crave hot weather. Now i dont like sweatin all the time.

It's been great here. Last August was hideous. It was really hot, really wet, and really humid. The previous years before that it has been hot, humid, and no rain. I really enjoy the fall and spring seasons, so I am looking forward to a nice long fall.

I think location has more to do with it than age. Growing up in Florida I grew to hate the hot humid weather at an early age.

I like my summers mild, my fall and spring long, and my winters mild and dry or consistently cold. If winter is mild and wet the property is too muddy to do anything with it. If it is consistently cold, the ground freezes and it makes moving about a lot easier. It's also a great time to clear out the poison ivy/oak/sumac.

Been spending the week at the Cabin in Pa (Cook Forest / Near Clarion) and its been dipping down to 60'ish at night (58° 2 nights ago) and the forecast looks to be upper 50's at night and upper 70's daytime temps..

Perfect IMO.... Under the Pine and Hemlock canopy, its slightly cooler than whats called for. Gorgeous..

The Hemlocks here are some of the oldest around. We took a walk on a path in the State Park... Trees here are breathtaking. Some are between 5-7 ft wide and 150-250 tall. We climbed Seneca Point Firetower and got above the canopy.. Pa is a beautiful place to live.. Period.

Going back to Ohio in a day or 2 and gonna be 90°.. I just know it!!

Better get that 30 in soon BB.. Gonna need it

It has been over a week now since we've seen 80 and that suits me just fine. It's a bit wet right now but that can change. We have lucked out with the rain since July 1 and have an abundance here. I'm ready for some 40 degree nights and 60 degree days.

Up here until last night it has been pretty hot and humid with not much moisture. A cold front has moved in though bringing relief in the form of rain today and cooler temps. Overall we've faired pretty well this Summer compared to many though -- it has been dryer than normal, but I haven't heard anything about crop failures other than a possible reduced apple crop this year due to the warming temps and then colder temps in the Spring -- wild blueberry crop actually had a record setting year.

We are moving into "Wow it is great. Only 90." days and high sixties at night.

It sure beats record drought and temps the whole center of the country is experiencing. Some are running out of drinking water.
