Austroflamm Integra V1 Burn Problems

Hi all,
I have searched for a bit but can not seem to find any info on the specific problem I am having.

• Whenever I turn on the stove at whatever setting I have no problem starting it then after a few hours the stove seems to go down to it's lowest setting automatically and burn a very small flame. Until I open the door clean the burn pot close it and then turn up the stove.
• There are also times (Has only happen once or twice) when I will open the door clean the burn pot and the auger will not turn on and the stove will eventually shut down but the combustion fan will kick up on to high.
• It also seems as the the motors including the auger seem to run a bit erratically this may just be me being paranoid but they seem to go from fast to slow erratically. This only occurs after the few hour period of it running when the flame seems to die down again.
• I am not sure if this is considered a lazy flame.

Some details about my stove:

• Early Austroflamm Integra
• Did a good cleaning at the begining of this year. I have burned about 1 ton of pellets and did a Good cleaning about a week ago (Cleaned convection blower pipes to blower, Chimney T. Only thing I didn't clean was the heat exchange tubes I'm planning on doing that this week.)
• Replaced Auger Motor Last year
• Replaced Convection blower last year
• Replaced Door Gasket Last year
• Replaced window Gasket Last year.
• Got the Air sensor and Control board checked for faults last year.

You need to get into the heat exchanger and the chamber behind it and give them a good cleaning. The chamber behind is accessed through the panel inside the stove that is on the right hand side and retained by 4 screws. Also check the low limit switch on the combustion blower, it gets sooted up then will act flakey at times

Sounds a little dirty and a little Austroflamm-ey. Clean behind the plates and the passage that Flamman described, if you haven't already. Do the dollar bill test on the door gaskets and adjust your latch, if needed. Make sure you have gaskets where they're supposed to be on your glass. It sounds like you may have restriction or air leakage somewhere. The inconsistant blower speed may be normal, mine varies quite a bit. Do you know where your auger and combustion blower pots are set? Have you ever adjusted them? How does it run on higher settings?

Thanks guys I had no clue there was a chamber back there I feel a bit like dummy. I shut of the stove and will be cleaning it tonight. I have never adjusted the blower or auger I didn't even know I could. Can you expand on that a bit?

As far as the glass I have gasket all around with the exception of the top. That's how it came so I assumed that was right any suggestions there?

Thanks for the guides I had the second one but not the first.

As a followup it was 100% a problem of cleaning the chamber. What's interesting is in my model there are not four bolts but one and the cover is circular. I had cleaned back there before but I never noticed that there are holes behind each of the vertical heating tubes. Those where so gunked up it was bad. I'm pretty sure they where never cleaned in the past as the ash was almost rock hard. I gave them all a really good cleaning and the stove is working better then I have ever had it work.

I actually woke up in the middle of the night because the house was too hot and I had to turn it down.

Follow Up #2 in case anyone was wondering where the Controls for the auger feed and the combustion fan are skibumm100 sent me a message describing the process for adjusting them. I hope this helps anyone else that may be wondering!

The potentiometer locations are described in the manual. They are located on the small user control circuit board. The auger feed rate pot is accessible through the small hole from the front near the firing rate knob. The combustion fan speed trim pot is accessed from the back. You need to remove the right side trim panel to get to it. Be careful doing this and make sure you don't short anything out. It might be best to unplug the stove and adjust it all the way up and try to adjust the combustion with the auger feed pot from the front. Mine are adjusted all the way up on the air and all the way down with the auger feed. It burns better on lower settings this way for me. It all depends on your pellets and your installation. Different installations require different settings. Once you get it tuned the way you want, you really don't need to mess with them anymore, unless something else changes. When you get your stove set the way it likes, these things will crank!

Just as a side note you do know there is supposed to be a gasket behind the lower cast wall like this
I didn't know this until my second season burning..I am a little slow at times.

Yes and buy a roll of this http://www.mcmaster.com/#93285k15/=vf9d40 and cut your own. You can get a few years out of that roll for less than the cost of one gasket.
