I would like some opinions on their nail guns. Specifically, their brad gun and finishing nail guns.
About 5 years ago, I bought a kit that included these two guns plus a framing nail gun ( that I haven't had the opportunity to use). I use the brad and finishing nail guns annually at least once. I oil them before each use and also when I put them back into the storage case after completing the project. In November, I used the finishing gun without a hitch, come December, both of the guns would fire once, jam up, get taken apart to clean the jam, and repeat...over and over and over. Very frustrating.
Is this brand of pneumatics considered junk?
Have they outlived their expected life? Is it time to scrap them?
Thanks for all the anticipated help/opinions!

Check the air pressure regulator and make sure it matches the owners manual specs. I have a Bostitch framing nailer and if it jams, too much or to little air pressure is usually the culprit.

I'm a carpenter. Campbell Hausfeld is not even on my radar on anything besides compressors. Yes, to me it would be considered junk, or at best "not worth finding out if it is or isn't."

I have a Bostitch oil free brad nailer that I've had for about 10 years that I've never had any issues with. Granted it doesn't get used on a regular basis but I've run about 5000 brads through it. Just used it the other day and it sat in the case in the basement for about 2 years since the last use and worked fine.

I have had the CH brad nailer for about 5-6 years and have never had an issue with it. Although I think I'm only on my second box of brads. I wouldn't think twice about recommending it for someone like me that does 2-3 project a year. DId you happen to switch brads or use a different brand?

Make sure your emptying any water that accumulates in the tank. Water through the air line into a gun is it's worst enemy.

I am uncertain of their qualities but I can tell you that in Canada, Canadian Tire is their distributor. They normally sell cheaper end items but not necessarily.

Sorry, I don't have a compressor nor do I have any of their guns. I only have a 2-3 attachments (blower, etc) and they work fine so far...

CH is at best a light homeowner grade of pneumatics. From their tools to the compressors. Yes, they work, but you won't find somebody that makes a living with those tools using that brand.

Agreed. I put them on par with B&D. Biggest issue with tools like that is there isn't much middle ground for folks that want to do a few projects but have a quality tool. You pretty much jump from $30 to over a $100. So like most folks I just roll the dice sometimes and get a cheap tool. Sometimes it works out, sometimes I just threw money away.
