I have a country hearth 2000 stove. Works great. It has a ceramic baffle on top of secondary tubes. My question is should the baffle be pushed to the far back of stove or to front.

Usually the baffle is pushed to the rear of the stove.

Correct.

Keep us posted.

I tried the ceramic board at rear and see a difference. I can keep damper open more without stove going inferno. Also flames are more blue than before. Wood seems to last longer too.
