I can't tell if this is a stove built by a hobbyist, or not? The last pic has the specs, and says patent pending.

My guess is both. A hobbyist was going to make a fortune building train shaped wood stoves, built 1 or 2 , applied for a patent and never sold any. I've never seen anything like it.

I don't think I'd buy one, but I'm curious how well it burns. Looks pretty cool.

I would view it as a show piece and not something to burn in. Would be a good conversation starter if you love trains and wood stoves.

Not a practical heating device as it is a smoke dragon at best.

No UL plate on it means it defaults to NFPA 211 standards.
