Cleanfire Douglas Fir

  • Active since 1995, Hearth.com is THE place on the internet for free information and advice about wood stoves, pellet stoves and other energy saving equipment.

We strive to provide opinions, articles, discussions and history related to Hearth Products and in a more general sense, energy issues.

We promote the EFFICIENT, RESPONSIBLE, CLEAN and SAFE use of all fuels, whether renewable or fossil.
I use Okies, love 'em.
Anyone use these?
How do they compare?

We've burned Olympus DF from McManus fuels over in Barrington, NH - best pellet burned to-date. Amazing pellets, almost zero ash, heat like rocket fuel.. When I win the lottery, all we're burning is Olympus Douglas Fir pellets, so I never have to clean the stove. :)

Every stove is different - if you're interested in the Cleanfire DF's, you should give a few test bags a try in your stove. Demars Garden Center in Manchester, NH sells them bag sale, but would give a call 1st to make sure they have them in stock / hold some for you, before making the trip.
