Cleaning through the wall vent

Hello all
I have some advice and I have a question. Check the horizontal vent run that goes through the wall. I had cleaned the vertical run last yr. However, yesterday I took the vertical run off the tee that goes through the wall and could see the vent was completely plugged. I was able to flex a brush in there and tried to vacuum it out. Problem is that piece is connected to the stove and I cannot remove t on outside of the house.
Is there a good way of cleaning this without disconnecting stove? Thx.

You should be able to remove the exh fan and push a flex able cleaning rod with a brush through into the T. As I remember removing that fan is fairly simple. Or you may have one of those options that has a spring loaded opening in back of the stove. If that's the case simply push the flex brush through it. It came with the AE when I bought it . It was fitted over the AE exh pipe and had a spring loaded clean out door that you could open to clean the pipes.

My MVAE insert has a flange coupling that is held in place by two oversprung clamps. Flip the two clamps and the vent (4" stainless flex) is uncoupled from the insert. The only problem with that is, the soot that falls out of the vent lands directly on the blower motor. Then again there is the matter of getting the coupling lined up again so that you can clamp it down.
Next cleaning I am going to try going up through the blower housing. If the flexible rod will make the bend, that has to be the least amount of work and the soot winds up in the blower housing where a vacuum can collect it.

Good idea. I will check it out next time I pull the blower.
