Just wondering...I have a year 2000 P38 that I bought used in 2004. The former owners moved from another state and could not utilize the stove in their literally "brand new" home. Well, the control knobs got smacked by the moving company. Then when I moved the stove to my shacky cottage, my boyfriend re-smacked the knobs ever so lightly. Ever since this bumping of the control knobs occured from when I first bought the stove, I noticed that the settings seem to be off, particularily on the auger speed control. For example, you have to start the stove on 3, intead of 1.....other times the stove may shut down and not feed...etc. But the stove, once it gets going, runs great. I think it is a problem where the knobs contact / operate on the circuit board. If you wiggle the knobs, the auger will turn on and off. Any thoughts on control knob issues on older p38's?
