Has anyone used either or for a driveway/parking area? I’m looking to finally finish the area next to my concrete single wide driveway for a nicer parking area besides the current dirt/mud pit.

I’ve narrowed it down to these two as crushed limestone is more than double the cost.

Asphalt millings are messier and stinkier. I'd use crushed concrete first. We use a lot of crushed concrete (be sure it's metal free) for road base and it locks together real well. The millings often have like ground up reflectors, tar, and ick though if you roll them out on a hot day it can almost become asphalt.

That’s what I wound up ordering as I read that the asphalt millings after being compacted doesn’t regrade very well if it gets pot holes.

The crushed concrete I ordered comes from the local road material processor so I’m fairly confident it should be clean. The last place I ordered from for my pole barn base had trash in the mix, which was the main reason I was hesitant on using it. After hearing where this place gets their crushed I feel a lot better.

It might not matter to you but the stormwater that runs through the crushed concrete will get a really high pH level so like I wouldn't put a bunch of it around a fancy koi pond or something.

Crushed concrete is like crushed rock because that's what it is. Regular 3000 psi concrete can be just as hard as gravel. The edges can be a bit sharper than natural stone.

Milled asphalt wants to turn back into asphalt so yes potholes will be more permanent. You'd want to grade it well to drain and compact it to encourage this asphalt like behavior.

Yea there’s nothing important where it’s going thankfully so nothing to worry about on that front. Just scraped what little topsoil was there away for preparation of the delivery this afternoon
