Would like to here from those of you that have a damper on your stove pipe does it help or not.
My installer refused to put a damper on my Hearthstone Mansfield stove. Yes i am old and old school and just seems like a damper would help when the fire is burning down, to keep the heat in the box or get the heat up.
My installer said they were more trouble than they were worth.
Just wanting your opinion if i should put one on or not.
23 ft. pipe straight up don't have a over drafting problem.
