Hi!
Last winter the air control linkage failed which stopped the airflow up. An authorized repairman came out to replace parts from Mexico and I'm not sure he put it back together right. Is there supposed to be insulation on the front part of where the metal side pieces were removed?

I dont remember seeing the air control linkages before. I am attaching a picture. Before I burn should I take it back out and add the fire insulation here? I dont think the doors insulate this part when closed.

Nobody has been able to tell me if that needs fire insulation

On the parts diagram I don't see anything but the 2 firebricks on each side. If still concerned, can you look at one at a VC stove shop?
