Yes, I think some do, but only BKVP has time to kill posting as he jet-sets around the country. ;) ;lol

I have seen someone from Englander on here too. Agree though, more should be.

@lampmfg is here (Kuuma furnaces) and there used to be a guy here with SBI (Drolet, Century, Osburn, etc)

For the most part manufacturers rely on their dealers to do their dirty work. They just sit back in their offices and pretend that their are no issues with their products...
A few do chime in. BK is definitely at the forefront! Then theres Woodstock, they have silent eyes roving about. Lopi had a factory rep on here for a very short time.
When I mentioned Heath.com to a Lopi rep he laughed, and said that its just a place where everybody that doesn't know how to use a stove gets together to complain...well, I laughed at him!

You know who felt the internet wasn't be a big deal, and ignored their competition as they built community there?

Blockbuster Video!

You have to wonder how much real-world experience these guys have; I'm not talking in their lab or a stove-shop demo, but heating with wood in houses with different layouts, insulation/air sealing, and chimney configurations. But for sure there are a lot of stove owners that don't know what they're doing; For years, I was one of them. ;em

If he realy felt that way and cares about the stove industry he should have stuck around to drop a little knowledge on the thousands of poor lost souls here.

The rep I was reffering to is very well educated and burn savvy! I just think he's been blinded by big business... Too biased!

Woodstock references hearth.com on their website so at least they are aware of it and point folks in the right direction even if they don't actually participate here (?).

Make no mistake, that are amongst us!

I purchased my BK just for the single fact that BKVP is a human and I can reach him need be. Support is what I'm interested in I'm not rich and to poor to buy cheap so if I have a problem I need someone to turn to.

Kumastoves is on here too. Osburn had a rep here but he left the company.

I'm pretty sure PE is in attendance, but every time there's a PE question, begreen beats 'em to the draw.
BUTT: still need the manufacturer's rep as the 'official' word on issues good or not so good.
Though we don't have a Blaze King, I'm impressed with BKVP's posts: informative, professional, no hard sell. ( Have I complemented him enough for a freebie ? ;em;em )

I'd love for PE to jump in on questions about their stoves, especially the newer lines like the Neo's.

You would be surprised who is here lurking around, I talked to a couple stove designers at the decathalon that work for the larger corporations that are on here quite often. They have no say when it comes to customer service, but they are interested in how their designs work for the end user.

Doesn't someone from Englander Stove Works post here quite often? Mark, Mike? something like that.

Mike = stoveguy2esw .

Ok, so now we have two (count, 2 !) reps of stove manufacturers here. Hello you at Jotul, PE, Morso, Hearthstone, Woodstock.....VC (whichever name it is under now ) and others. Echo............;em
Recall Marketing 101 ?;?

I work in a different industry (agriculture) for a company that made a conscious decision to not maintain an official presence in interactive, anonymous forums. I can't say I fully agree with it, but am just noting it could be that some of the stove companies have made an informed decision. My company has many individuals that personally interact (unofficially) and actively report back to the mothership whenever they see issues, and we do respond directly when we can determine who is having an issue. I recall conversations on the stove forums of individuals being contacted directly by companies based on online comments.
