I went to replace the dampdry in my cab50 and when I went to turn the handle it was "locked" in place. I had to put a little muscle into it to turn the handle to open the door. I messed with it, turning it back and forth, and finally it broke free but it is still very tight to turn. I noticed that the little "key" that slides into the slot on the screw was missing. The assembly is number 4.5 on page 2 in the manual link below.

Curious if you think the missing "key" is the problem or just gummed up from ash/rust. I did remove the nut and washer and cleaned around the hole but did not remove anything else. I couldn't tell if the "arm" that rotates to lock behind the panel is supposed to be removed, so left it alone.
Any thoughts?
