He folks,

Just picked up a slightly used Drolet Compak. Little confused with the clearance info i'm seeing. Factory info sticker/plate on rear of stove indicates clearance to combustibles of 16" (all 3 usual directions from stove). Doing a little searching online brings up factory manuals stating 29 -32" minimum clearances.

Any thoughts on the differences? Stove was bought new buy previous owner about 4 years ago and only used for the occasional fire. Very small stove, great size for my work shop.

Plan to put up cement board heat shield and use double wall stove pipe but just unsure of min. clearances....
