Englander 10-CPM (bought, burn, and install)

As you know, a bigger hopper has advantages...

But I'm gonna live with this one. Have enough other BTU's to make up for it. If needed...

Sweet stove Dexter, I love it. Before I found the gc60 this is what i was going to buy. I love the look of englanders multi fuel stove. I will keep an eye on this thread and looking forward to watching the install. Good luck with it Dexter.

Yep.... Raining outside. So I removed the Old Englander and installed the CPM. So it has an actual vent and does not get rained on...

Although the burn is not bad. I still feel that it could be better without the by-pass...

I asked Mike why the auger feed motor is 2.4 RPM but have not heard back yet.
He did say that brand new control panel is the latest version 6 for the 10-CPM!

So if you guys want this one to put in a remote location to control your stove let me know!

Just wire which components you want to control in parallel with the other board!

I ran the stove some more yesterday also..... The venting that its hooked up to is at the EVL limit.

Its a Clean-out T, to 5' of vertical, another Clean-out T up top, and then 3' of horizontal. So I'm at 15.5 and it still burns great.

Although it wont be an EVL that high when its in my house. Its nice to know that it burns pretty good with a High EVL and a burn pot by-pass (warped pot).

Talked to Mike. I am gonna call Englander in a bit and they will be sending me a new pot out and also an air deflector for the air wash...

Oh yeah....didn't see that the deflector was missing.

New, flat pot will sure make things burn better, especially with some gasket underneath it....really made a big difference in my unit.

I already installed the gasket... Im sure that helped with the un-even'ness of the pot. Didnt know the deflector was missing until I watched the video and it was explained. I had a few pellets get flown over the air-wash slit on the maiden burn... I didn't think it was right.

The gasket could prob be put on the pot. But because the back edge is small, I put it on the receptacle. Also made sure that the igitor was not affected. Still lines up perfect.

Its a solid unit and I am impressed. For $1,100 and its a Brand New unit I can't get over it.... My Quad was almost $3,000 after tax. Add the Hearth pad and venting, I was around $3,500.... I still am purchasing the Selkirk Direct Temp Pellet Vent. So I will have a little more wrapped up in the total install... But its still cheaper and the stove has more user options and input (bottom 3 buttons, Hi/low, 9 heat settings, etc /compared to Quads 3 heat settings and.......)

Gonna do another burn this weekend. Then I will take the exhaust blower out, 2 bottom clean outs, etc and.figure out where the exhaust path goes and where the ash will accumulate. (Seems as if there is 2 plated behind the back wall, that direct the airflow and ash over the 2 clean outs)? Just a guess until I get my Milwaukee Snake Video down the tubes in the back and up the exhaust path from the blower hole (go in from both ends!! )

Even with the air deflector in place, there will be a few pellets that make it over it.....they hit the deflector in the burnpot and bounce up and outward.

Looking forward to seeing what the camera shows in the back.

When my CPM was delivered, the deflector had slipped down in front of stove. Would not have seen it except Andy from AM/FM had given me the heads up. It could be there.

Yeah. Mike Holton gave me a heads up that it may be there. But unfortunately, its not.

Thanks for the heads up though. Did you ever get a "cleaner" burn out of your CPM? I remember you had an issue before? Dont remember if you got it resolved. . . (Hope so).

all resolved. operator error. as usually is. my oak screen was completely clogged. not enough air for cumbustion. never thought to check there.

Ah Ha... I remember reading that now... Glad its burnin good. Im very happy with mine so far. Even though its not in the.house yet.
