Finished this pile this weekend in 93 degree heat.

This is the result of the large rounds posted in a previous thread,the pile measures 25 feet in length,8 feet wide and about 4 to 5 feet tall.A beautiful stack of ,white and red oak mostly.Cherry,ash,and osage orange.Done splitting this year i'm at least 6 years prepared.

This is another stack I split last week,ash,cherry,black birch and red elm,and some pig nut hickory. Sixteen feet long about 8 feet wide and 6 feet high or thereabouts.

I feel your pain, last weekend was close to 90 both days and I finished my shed and loaded about 4 cords in her, it was so hot that by the end of both days I didn't even feel like drinking beers.

I really prefer to cut in the winter, no bugs, no poison ivy, and while I may start out in full Carhartt gear, my jacket is usually off after an hour. I have a lot of Cherry around here and it easily seasons in 10 months, provided that it is CSS right away.
