fused ash build up in burning chamber

i been having a problem with burn chamber. i have a enviro merridian fireplace insert pellet stove.

i been getting a fused ash build up in my burn chamber. it cause the pellet stove to put out less heat because the pellets dont get as much oxygen.

i bure lignetics pellets 98 % (because only one place that delivers in my area sell them) so i dont know if other pellets cause this or it is my pellet stove.

i have to clean out the burn chamber every day because of this. I had the stove checked and they say there is no problem with air.

Any suggestions???????

Those are clinkers, and pellet fuel appliances are not maintenance free, if you scrap your pot daily you should not have problems with build up.

If you are referring to a gradual buildup on the burn pot liner, I get that, but it has never blocked the holes. Every month or so I take the liner out and chip it clean with a chisel.

I have vista flame by enviro-exact same stove as meridian. I burn in hi/lo mode with heat set on 3 and feed rate on lowest setting and use thermostat. I run with damper 3/4+ open. I am burning penningtons and corinth and have excellent heat, mod ash and very little clinkers. I empty burn pot and vacuum about every 3 days and daily scrape in front of where air holes are. I just love this stove. Heats my whole house (1800 sq ft) on a bag or less per day.

I also have to clean the burn pot about every 3 days, I will have hardened compressed ash (klinkers) blocking some holes , I could run longer but if i do stove will smolder after shutdown and smoke up the place. If I'm busy and don't want to clean it out I will turn it on low setting and then after it calms down yank the door open and rotate a screwdriver in the burn pot to break it up. I have put a thermocouple hanging in front of the exchanger to help with setting the dampner for max temp. output, it's worth the trouble because looks of the burn can be deceiving. In short i think what your describing is normal, and much of the condition you describe has to do with the quality of pellets and how you set the stove to burn.
