Yup, it's been a project. Boxing-in is how they do Garns as far as I know they're designed to be done that way. Looks like you're coming along quickly on your job. The essex is connected to the garn via a heat exchanger, again, common practice, and is my back-up heat and domestic hot water maker for this winter at least.
