Thanks for your answers, got more questions. "99.2 CFM at 84†H2O." What is the HP on the motor or amp draw? The pressure number is huge. It's near the end of whats possible with out using a positive displacement blower.

The belt driven blower motor is 1/2 HP and draws 7.4 amps.
The vacuum blower motor draws 8 amps.
The blades on the belt driven blower have disintegrated and I have not been able to find suitable replacement blades. All the new blades are metric and just slightly smaller in overall diameter.

The belt drive was OEM correct, and the Vacuum is the currently being used "mounted on the wall' Do you have the Make and model number? Those numbers don't make sense to me, they represent about a 1.5 or 2 HP motor. unless maybe the 84 H20 is 8.4 H20

Another question - the picture looking at the blower pipe coming up in to the tapered exhaust duct. Is it open on the top also or just the hole facing out, can't tell from picture.

Just the hole facing out . The top is closed .

It still seems strange that the only air into it is in the bottom of the loading chamber and that it enters the opposite direction of the the tunnel.

Two pictures of the base. The tube where it enters the burn chamber it has a slot in the end , but the slot is recessed about 3/8" on the right side creating a swirling turbulence in the burn chamber attacking the wood from all sides .

The masking tape is just to give a idea what the slot should look like , when installed properly the main slot is horizontal.

That makes sense. Thats why the burn chamber is tear drop shaped.
