Tree was dead standing for 2 years 36" dia at base.

Over 50% moisture on some of the saturated trunk pieces.
Lots of fun with old nails and recent screws.

See the shiny bit on the bottom right in the cut?

It's 1 of 2 nails that took out 5 teeth from my chain.

And i finally had that chain hand filed pulling straight as could be making cutting both sides of the 32-34" Dia trunk a breeze with the 18" bar. Cuts were lining up almost perfectly. Dang it!

That's why sawmills only want trees from the deep forest, and will not take a tree that was in somebody's yard.
Yes that and they are usually twisted and knotty grain.
