Looks great. Any particular reason you installed the tile right on the floor
instead of making a movable hearth pad like most of the folks on here have done?
It looks good and I'm not saying one way is better than another, just curious.
 
What you can't see in the photo is the ceiling, right above where the stove will sit is a section that has boxed in duct work and water pipes etc. the inspector would not allow me to raise it at all due to that low part of the ceiling as it made the distance from the stove top to the ceiling too small, and it would have brought my horizontal pipe closer than 6" to the ceiling as well. I would have to put a heat sheild on my ceiling and I did not want to do that, so to save on the inches I kept it as low as possible. I was going to lay new tile over old but chose to smash up the old and get the new as close to the cement as possible. ( and this was less expensive)
 
waiting for the carpet guy, but at least we have wood heat again
