Hello

I am clearing out my dads garage and he has this wood burner. It has Firelight CB on the back but there seems to be so many different models and conflicting information when I have searched online.

Could anyone please help me with an exact model and approx. value to sell as it is for a fair price without someone taking the Mickey.

Thank you in advance for any help or guidance.

It's unusual to see this model in the UK. The value on the UK market may be quite different than here. It's also approaching the end of the heating season. Prices in Oct & Nov. are usually higher. That said, in the states, if the stove was cleaned up and in good operating condition it might sell for $1200. This unit however needs a bit of work, like new gaskets, glass cleaning, etc. and checking out to see if it needs parts like the baffle and to determine the condition of the secondary manifold and tubes. For that reason, I think in present condition that it would sell here for about $600.

Thank you for your answer. Do you know the exact model name please? Where might I look to sell in the UK do you know? Many thanks :)

It's an F600CB. The castings come from Norway, then assembled in the US. This one appears to have then been shipped to the UK. It's an older one. They dropped the horizontal bars in the glass lights a while back.

The Firelight CB is the father of the F600. It was the first iteration of that stove size after they dropped the F12 cat model. Its basically identical to a 600, and most all the parts are interchangeable.

They changed the doors after a couple years and rebranded the stove as the F600CB that most people recognize.

As for value, here in the states its debatable. I find the actual 600s are more desirable. Taking the horizontal bars away from the glass really makes it eaiser to see the fire and looks more modern.

The condition of your enamel is fantastic as well, which is rare for the Ivory color they did on wood stoves. You could just look at it wrong and it would chip. (Oddly enough, not a problem with the gas stoves ivory enamel)

In un-restored condition, id say your looking
At $500-800, But thats over here. Im not sure what the market is in England.

If this was 5 years newer and an f-600 in Ivory, in good shape you could get 1200-1700 to a private buyer.
