Help Identify Chimney Pipe Adapter Type

Hi! First time posting here hoping to get some help with figuring out the adapter type I need to run single wall up to my chimney pipe.

I removed the previous single wall but was surprised to find that there was no slip pipe or twist lock adapter. The previous single wall was press right up against the bottom of the triple wall chimney pipe, and by the looks of it not sealing too terribly well (purple discoloration on the bottom of the triple wall). It almost appears as if the installer started at the stove and stacked upward.

On the inside of the chimney pipe I can see protruding tabs that look to be for twist lock adapters, but there's a flange at the end of the pipe that is welded on that would prevent any adapters from sliding up into the pipe. I'm unsure what the deal is.

Any ideas what needs to be done to transition from chimney pipe to single wall properly?

Thanks! Since that flange is only tack welded in I'll probably just drill it off and then add the adapter, then screw or weld the flange back on.

ps, the sheetrock is installed over the ceiling support box, and it should be under it....

if it is fully supported at the ceiling and not the roof, pulling the stack is probably quicker and easier...
plus if it is fully supported at the ceiling removing the bottom of the ceiling box will mean nothing is supporting the pipe and it'll fall into the room

Thats the same that i took out of my house! Hartandcooley HT class A. They lock into place with those tabs and a band slips down so they cant be lifted off. My single wall was also just slipped on prolly 3/4", no chimney adaptor.
A collar is tightened around the lower grove on the class A and stops it from passing through the support.

Thanks for all the info! I'll be ordering the adapter for the hart and cooley piping, that should allow the proper connection between the triple wall and the stove pipe. It appears to be part no: 8TLCSPA. I'll confirm once I get it in the event someone else has the same question.

I think its double wall not triple. Not sure if that adaptor will work either, thats a twist lock style and i dont think that 8" pipe is twist lock. I guess its worth a look!
