Help me ID scavenged wood

More wood found at the local dump. This stuff is pretty unusual. Real sticky sap just under the bark: (broken image removed)

I've burned it but I don't remember if it was any good or not.

I've burned some TOH. It is OK for shoulder seasons. Though the bark is generally very thin and does not look like the pics posted. Flakes off when seasoned. Not sure on sumac.

I've heard tree of hell is poisonous if you burn it while green.

Staghorn sumac , its supposed to glow if you put a black light on it. Black locust does that too.
I burn it cause it grows really big.

Staghorn Sumac, based on bark color and the multi-colored wood. It never gets much larger than the stuff you found. I think the wood is pretty lightweight, but I have never burned more than a few pieces at a time.

Back in Spring I got some wood that looked very similar to what you have there, and I thought it was some form of Cherry, and it was also VERY sappy. When I split it it was VERY yellow inside and looked close to what you have. My neighbor thought it was Sumac as some here have said, so I took it down to a local tree service and they thought it was Ornamental Cherry, so who knows? The pieces were somewhat bigger than what you show there.
