Always been impressed with these structures. Decided it was time to build one. Needed something that would store alot of wood, not fall over, be close to processing area and be a conversation piece. All red oak. Bark has fallen off most of the red oak so I'm using a bur oak for the roof.
I would be out working on it today but 20 mph wind isn't a good time for being in the woods.
The HH is 10 ft diameter 6 feet tall. Splits are 22" long. Plan to disassemble and burn in 2015. Spent a total of 8 hours spittling and building. Expect the roof to take another 2-3 hours.
