I decided to build an inverted splitter that mounts to the skid steer to handle them big rounds

That's some very nice work. I too would really like to see some video of this thing in operation.

Nice design and quality fab work. Wonder if the machine mount is symmetrical. Can it be mounted upright?

I hope to get it out soon and put it to work I will try to get a video when I do. It can only be used in the inverted position. It has a 24x4 tierod cylinder on it.

Looks like a real solid splitter, great job! Looking forward to a report on how well it works.

Yes please

Looks like a high quality build. Nice welding, by the way.
What is the output psi of the hydraulics of that unit? I ask because most splitters come preset with a bypass at about 2750 psi (there are exceptions), even if the components are rated higher. Just curious what your machine produces.

The lx865 I’m using is set at 2600 psi 17gpm and don’t have very much power with a 4” cylinder but it’s what I had. I am looking to put a 5” cylinder on it but dang they are proud of them things.
