Homemade wood pellets??? Thoughts???

One thing to ask the guy in Fleetwood is whether or not he uses a binder. On these little pellet presses, there isn't enough heat generated to release the lignin in the wood, which is the natural binder. That's why the pellets crumble. In place of the lignin, one must use a binder to help hold the pellets together. http://www.mataminc.com/woodfuel.php
