Can you load full on start up or do you have to start a small one and revisit to load full?

No scales. Maybe in the future. A couple of small armloads? When I need to do a burn I fill chamber full and light it. Because of the colder than normal weather it's been one full load and occasionally refill part later. It'll burn a full load pretty quick. 2 hours? About 20 mins after lighting pretty much all the wood is on fire.

Here is my 2000 coming down off its evening burn. Might have to give it another hour and take the kids out for some Smores!
Probably not tonight, supposed to see -20 here this evening. weather channel says -40 with wind chill...

So this is a little off subject but i have to share.
I got my monthly propane delivery last friday after finally getting my domestic water hooked up to the Garn about a month earlier.
I way pretty excited to see a bill of 25 dollars!
10 bucks of that was a hazmat charge for delivery.

Yes it does.
Mine typically runs for approximately 2-1/2 to 3 hrs. for a complete burn cycle, and shuts the fan down when the burn is complete.
My understanding of this function is that the controller shuts the fan off once a preset differential temperature is met between the flue temp. And the tank temp.
Not sure what the differential is (10 - 15 deg.?), i have never watched the controller at the end of a burn to determine the temp.

Once flue temp drops to a set point that shuts the draft fan off.

Beautiful units...........You must be north of Syracuse. I have propane for clothes dryer and stove. I used Griffith Energy for 20yrs and did pay more than most suppliers around. The straw that broke the camel's back was the $9 + Hazmat charge for each and every delivery. Griffith was bought out by a Canadian company I believe. Switched suppliers last fall for no Hazmat fee and cheaper per gallon by about .50.

With the circ running a few hours before a burn, and running until the end of the burn( a good mix going on). It'll take it from roughly 125f to 180-ish. usually takes a little over 2 hours. Also, the modine in the garage is running non stop. I thought this was pretty impressive.

I was looking at the specs a couple days ago, and see the firebox is listed at 36" long. Do you load it full (two splits deep?), or do you just load it with one tier with space at the end(s) of the splits? Even though it's their smallest boiler, that's a fair sized firebox, and at 24" dia., I think I calced it to be about 3x the size of mine.

Sure sounds impressive, all right - I would definitely consider one if it would fit in my space.

21 or 22 inch is the max basically keep it back from the front 3 or 4 inches. Needs air flow around front and back of wood. In the pic above it had only been aprx 25 mins since I lit the fire.
