I need to install 6 feet of pipe above my eave so I need to use a roof brace, but I have a standing seam metal roof. All the braces I have found online seem to connect by drilling into the roof.

Is this the recommended method for a metal roof or is there a way to attach the brace to the seams?

I have used the clamp on snow guards as an attachment point
