I leave it on auto. Gives me full control of the blower. I am running it on medium, right in the middle. Came home just now to 65* downstairs (stove is downstairs) and still holding 66* upstairs. The 20" box fan pulls the heat up through the 16X24" floor grate awesome. Gets total circulation. Also looks like I barely burned 1/2 a bag all night. Maybe 2/5thsI may have to try that (the stove temp) with the P43 when it is time to take it off of room temp / auto light. I find when I put it in manual, the blower turns off most of the time it is idling - which means it isn't pushing the heat toward the bedrooms that are over the garage (obviously coldest rooms in house). Of course, it may do the same thing in stove temp, so I may end up setting up a fan in the hallway to help the heat go down to the rooms (no, pushing cold air out doesn't work - just brings more cold air up from the garage).
Halfway thru bag two. 20f last night. Auto mode on my Harman Accentra Insert. How many bags have you folks gone through so far this early in the season. Going through a bit of a brisk spell north of Boston and I just opened my 4th bag in total.
Zero, none, nada... Filling up on oil tomorrow at $1.91 (have 2 tanks). Burning wood in the mean time.
$1.88... Rochester areaWhere'd you find oil in NH for $191?
That is my excuse at the moment.. 4th bag went in today.LOL...my excuse was...."It's new and I need to learn how to use it before winter hits." Which is truly legitimate in my book
Anyone, any way to know this? How much of a bag do you burn per hour at cruising temp?
One 40lb bag in 24 hours = 1.66lb's of pellets per hour... Many factors will change this. My P61 on its lowest continuous setting, will burn about 1.3-1.4lb's per hour. That's with feed rate on 1, temp dial on 1.Anyone, any way to know this?
