How much wood?

Ill b going with central heating, anyone have a hot burn furnace? Tractor supply carries them. My buddys got one and likes it but sure seems like he goes thru alota wood. Around 6 cords a year heating a 1000 square ft 10 year old house.

How many cords of hard wood r u guys burning a year? And how much space r u heating with it? Im just trying to get a idea for next year. Already have 3 cords cut, im sure ill need at least twice that.

This year I'm burning exclusively Bigleaf Maple. I think I'll burn right around 3 cord and I'm heating a fairly open, poorly insulated 1500sf house.

I've burned 2 1/2 cords and 150 gallons of propane so far. 6300 heating degree days. 3100 sq ft house.
