I been playing around with my new Drolet Baltic trying to sustain the secondary burn. What I found is that once a good fire is going and stove is over 400deg on top load a couple of splits East/West towards the front. This gives good secondary's for a longer time with draft closed all the way. Don't know if the people with the Drolet Myriads and Austal have tried this. On mine it was hard to find a sweet spot to cruise at. If I had the draft open even a little the stove temp would keep climbing. If closed all the way secondary's would flame out. Anyway it works for today maybe not tomorrow.
