Our liberty was suppose to be installed today. But when the guys got here and in rated the stove it was damaged!!!!! It has a fairly good size dent on the back left corner and the entire driven when measured is off by as much as 1/8 of an inch! It shifted almost 1/4 on the pallet. Idk what hit it but is must have been one heck of a hit.

We been looking forward to this for a year now. . i hope they can squeeze us in next week. The stove get shipped to our area from the distributor about an hour and a half away.

What a disappointment! I know how fun delivery day can be. Hopefully they'll prioritize you and you'll get your stove very soon. Good thing it's like early fall temps around here in the east!

That must have been one heckuva hit. The Liberty is a tank. Be patient, hopefully next week you'll be smiling.

USPS driver tossed it on your porch? o_O:rolleyes::rolleyes:

They tried to push us back till thanksgiving week but I wasn't letting that happen. Looks like our new stove will be going in later next week. I can't wait

It happens. The Liberty is shrouded in sheet metal shields, it would be pretty easy to dent with heavy equipment.
I was once told by a truck driver that he can't believe any of them show up undamaged. He said the dock handlers do not care one bit.
Washington to New York ain't an easy trip!

Same for other appliances. Forklift drivers can be hell on equipment. We had a new dishwasher that had a nasty ding by one. Had to get a new one sent out.

My first 30-NC was crashed through the pallet and looked like it had been in a tornado when I picked it up at Fed-Ex Freight.

The driver I was reffering to was a fed-ex freight driver.

Here it's pretty standard on high value items to sign off on condition upon receipt. Always make sure to take your time and inspect a delivery before signing is SOP nowadays.

Many times there is no visible damage to the box or skid. You would sure think so though.

That's sort of what I mean. More and more it's becoming important to open and thoroughly inspect goods before receipt.

I hate when the delivery guy is pushy and just 'sign here' and wanting to drop and dash. Because nowadays you need to look and confirm condition before signing......because usually you are signing to say it was received in good order.

Ya but that's very difficult to do when you are getting a dozen stoves at a time, or 10 skids of pipe etc..
Also, many customers want to see that stove show up to their house on install day in a box. If it's all cut up or missing it doesn't look very professional.

I hear that. I'm on the other side of the fence. I'm the consumer. Lol.
