How far can I run single-walled stovepipe horizontally and still get a good draft?
It depends how far you run horizontal and how much vertical is after that.
 
What is planned?

Keep the horizontal run as short as possible and pitched at least 1/4"/ft upward toward the vertical section. A long horizontal pipe is often a creosote trap if it's too long and the flue gases cool down too much there.
