Their temps look about right so far for here...and, Siberia can keep the snow. I can handle the cold but not crazy about the snow anymore...1 GOOD snowstorm and I then want it to go away!
 
... and I live in that frigid, dark blue circle in northern MN. Oh well, -30's and -40's F are not unusual. Just a wee bit cool though when jumping through the hole in the lake ice to take the Saturday night bath.
 
Cool. The 2010 maps are pretty impressive. So is the 2003. What about the other years in between???

Snowcover does seem like an obvious factor to consider.
