We had high filtered clouds all day yesterday which provided us with a cool sun halo.

Yesterday A Prairie Home Companion was broadcast live from Chateau Ste Michelle winery grounds in Woodinville WA. This was an outdoor afternoon (1PM-3PM) show. During the show, Keillor mentioned this same sun halo you photographed.

That's neat. It stayed with us all day long, right up to sunset their were still parts showing.
