Can you guys think of anything else I would need? Seems like this should do it. I have the drolet escape 1200. I know I also need high temp silicon, and what does everyone think of selkirk for stove pipe?

I have all that same stuff minus the double wall inside pipe i run single wall. Make sure that cathedral ceiling support box has the right adapter to go to double wall I'm pretty sure they come ready to go from single wall to class A and double wall is slightly different but im not 100% sure on that, I've never used double wall.

That was going to be my next question, should I just use single wall and save some money? What if it's to long can I just cut single wall and attach it? I think the spacing needed will change too if I use single wall or this double one?!?

If that is just for the shop and you don't need to worry about tight clearances, I'd save some coin and get single wall.

I can't find any single wall made by selkirk at this store? Might have to ordering from another store. I don't know my roof pitch I'll have to check that out soon.

It doesn't need to be Selkirk single wall. Any single wall will be fine. You don't even need to use the same brand double wall connector pipe

Even if I need the stove closer to the wall I can add sheet metal and put it closer right?

You can shield for the pipe yes. With a proper ventilated heat shield. The stove you have to check the manual

Lol thank you very much yooperdave, I'm pretty handy and have a few friends that are handy too, but nobody I know has ever installed a wood burning stove. I'm the first!!!!

I'm so damn excited to finally have a wood burner and want to make sure I do everything right.

It really is going to be very straightforward for your install. Just read all the instructions and follow them. And I am happy you are doing it right this time

Bholler do you remember me from a while ago with my first wood burner setup?

That was pretty rough

How much from the ceiling does a support box hang down? My stove is 28inches tall and my ceiling is around 96inches high. Will a 50inch adjustable stove pipe reach? Seems like I need more.

Just measured my pitch and it's 6/12.

Yes that's what I was referring to about doing it right this time

What type of silicone should I use? I see that a few are good for around 600 degrees, that seems pretty low.

You only need silicone on the storm collar and any silicone is fine there

Yup :), I just pulled the trigger on the piping. I didn't get the expandable pipe I'm going to buy two 36inch pipes and cut them to length.

If it's double wall pipe you can't cut it to length

No they have single wall at canadian tire 36inch lengths. I'm going to buy two, they don't ship so I have to go to the store.

It says everything should be herein 3 days, so hopefully by next weekend I'll have everything installed. Will definatly post lots and lots of pics.
