Has anyone had any experience on a BK boxers door hinge coming loose constantly? The door on the Boxer is big and very heavy, probably 40lbs. The problem is the hinges BK uses are too small imo and they use a nut and a bolt for the hinge pin with a few washers between. Anyway, in order to keep the door strait, the nut and bolt needs to be very tight otherwise the door will sag out of level. But when you tighten a nut and a bolt, guess what, the hinge is so tight it’s nearly impossible to close the door. Then the door latch system pulls downward to lock the door and acts as a big lever and pulls down on the door putting more stress on the hinges again. After a cycle of wood, the top hinge is loose and the door is sagging again. The only time it’s possible to tighten the hinges is when there is no fire. A door this size should almost use a full length hinge to keep it level. What they are using now isn’t working well for me. I’ve battled this issue since owning the stove and see no resolve, I’ve tried everything, even a bit bigger hinge bolts without luck. Suggestions?
