I think white mulberry has shiny leaves. At least around me seems the white mulberry makes better firewood, denser.......
 
I think White Mulberry is a lot more common around Pittsburgh, so I'll say White. Definitely Mulberry.
 
Snigg, tell your buddy to let it grow 30 years for some nice firewood.:)
